Vysoká škola Danubius

Danubius University s.r.o. was registered in the commercial register under the name Vysoká škola Višegrádu s.r.o. on September 3, 2004. Authorization to operate as a private university in accordance with Act no. 131/2002 Coll. on universities, it was granted by SR Government Resolution no. 430/2005 of 31.5.2005. On May 5, 2012, the name of the university (as well as the business name of the company) was changed to Vysoká škola v Sládkovičov, s.r.o. and the company’s trade name. The change of the name of the university as well as the business name of the company to Vysoká škola Danubius s.r.o. was approved by Resolution of the Slovak Government No. 46/2014 of January 29, 2014 (hereinafter only the university).

The mission of the university, which is part of the European area of ​​higher education and the common European research area, is to develop a harmonious personality, knowledge, wisdom, goodness and creativity in a person and to contribute to the development of education, science, culture and health for the well-being of the whole society, thereby contributing to the development of the knowledge society.

The main task of the university in fulfilling its mission is the provision of higher education and creative scientific research. The university fulfills its mission by educating professionals with the highest education, high moral principles, civic and social responsibility, as well as education in the spirit of the values ​​of democracy, humanism and tolerance and leading students to creative, critical and independent thinking, healthy self-confidence and national pride, and improving national cultural heritage and different cultures in the spirit of cultural pluralism.
