Admission and Requirements.

Documents for admission

1. What documents are submitted to the selection committee?

The main documents submitted to the selection committee (in accordance with chapter 2 of the Rules for the admission of persons for higher education of the 1st stage):

  • an application addressed to the rector of the university in the form established by the Ministry of Education (issued electronically at the technical admission committee of the university);
  • originals and copies of the document on education and its annexes:
    • certificate of general secondary education (for persons who have received general secondary education);
    • diploma of vocational education with an appendix to it (for persons who have received vocational education with general secondary education);
    • a certificate of general secondary education and a diploma of vocational education with an appendix to it (for persons who have received vocational education on the basis of general secondary education);
    • diploma of secondary specialized education with an appendix to it (for persons who have received secondary specialized education);
  • original certificates of centralized testing (hereinafter referred to as CT) conducted in the Republic of Belarus in 2021 and 2022 (except for applicants entering for education in a shortened period);
  • a medical certificate on the state of health in the form established by the Ministry of Health for those entering the university;
  • documents confirming the applicant’s right to benefits when enrolling for higher education;
  • 6 photographs 3 x 4 cm.

In addition to the listed documents, if necessary, the following are additionally submitted to the selection committee:

  • extract from the work book (for applicants entering the correspondence form of education);
  • marriage certificate or other document (in case of change of surname).

A passport or a document replacing it is presented by the applicant personally, and a copy of the passport is provided to the selection committee


2. What is a passing score?

The passing score is the value of the total score of the applicant, who is the last selected for enrollment in the competition.

The passing score is directly dependent on the recruitment plan for the specialty, the number of applications submitted, the sum of the points of each of the applicants. It is formed only after the end of acceptance of applicants’ documents in the current year.


3. What documents do you need to have with you to participate in the entrance examinations conducted at the university?

At the entrance examinations conducted at the EE “VSTU”, the applicant must necessarily have a passport and an examination sheet with him.


4. What entrance examinations should be taken for admission to the correspondence form of education with a shortened period of study (on the basis of secondary specialized education)?

To participate in the competition for the REDUCED FORM OF TRAINING, it is necessary to pass two profile entrance tests in the disciplines of the curriculum of the specialty of secondary specialized education, the list and form of which are indicated in the Procedure for admission to the educational institution “Vitebsk State Technological University for 2022”


5. How to calculate the average score of a document on education?

The average score of the document of education (certificate of general secondary education, diploma of vocational education based on general basic education, diploma of secondary specialized education) is calculated as follows: all marks in the document of education are summed up, and the sum of points is divided by their amount.

The calculation of the average mark of the document on education for applicants who received vocational education on the basis of general secondary education is carried out as follows: all marks given in the certificate of general secondary education and in the diploma of vocational education are summed up, and the sum of points is divided by their amount.

The average score of the document on education is determined on a ten-point scale with an accuracy of tenths of a unit and is converted to a hundred-point scale by multiplying by 10.


6. How is the total score determined when passing the three entrance examinations in the form of VG?

The total score for passing three entrance examinations in the form of CT is determined by summing up the scores based on the results of passing three entrance examinations and the average score of the document on education (on a hundred-point scale)


7. How is the total amount of points determined upon admission to the specialty “Design”?

The sum of points upon admission to the specialty “Design” is equal to the results of two stages of the profile test in the discipline “Creativity” (according to a 100-point system) and the average score of the sum of points obtained from the results of passing the state language (CT), History of Belarus (CT) and the average score of the document on education (based on clause 29 of the Rules for the admission of persons for higher education of the 1st stage).

Standard training program (3 months)

Intensive training courses on subjects of centralized testing. The educational program of the preparatory courses was compiled taking into account the analysis of the topics of centralized testing tests and the results of rehearsal tests, as well as a qualitative and thematic analysis of typical mistakes made by applicants when performing test tasks.

Documents required to conclude a training contract

  • identity document of the student of the preparatory courses;
  • for minors – the passport of one of the parents.

The terms of payment   for tuition are defined in the contract for the training of a specialist with higher education on a paid basis.

Payment is made to the student’s personal account in the ERIP system, which is specified in the agreement.

  • For the first year of study, payment is made after the issuance of an order for the enrollment of the Student in the Educational Institution in the following terms:
    • for the autumn semester – until August 23;
    • for the spring semester – from February 5 to March 1;
  • For the second and subsequent years of study, payment is made in the following terms: 
    • for the autumn semester – from September 5 to October 1;
    • for the spring semester – from February 5 to March 1;
  • In case of violation of the terms of payment, the student pays a penalty in the amount of 0.1% of the amount of the overdue payment for each day of delay.
    • Penalty is charged:
      • For first year students:
        • for the autumn semester – from August 23;
        • for the spring semester – from March 1.
      • For students of the second and subsequent years of study:
        • for the autumn semester – from October 1;
        • for the spring semester – from March 1.

No invoice will be sent to students. The contract is the basis for payment.

  • print the additional agreement form from the university website(www.vstu.by – Student Tuition fees – Procedure and terms of payment),   fill in all the columns of the additional agreement in 2 copies, sign and send to the contract work sector of the university for further processing and registration (210038, Vitebsk, Moskovsky pr-t, 72, EE “VSTU”, contract work sector, room 418) ;

When filling out an additional agreement, the amount in the payment schedule must be written in numbers and duplicated in words (i.e., written in words).
