Young university, created in 2007, the Sultan Moulay Slimane University is a public establishment of a cultural, scientific and professional nature. With 12 institutions, the university now has more than 43709 students and 999 staff, including 726 professors.
Leading this young university is a real pleasure and a challenge for me. It is with enthusiasm and optimism that I begin my first term as President of Sultan Moulay Slimane University. Open to its environment, both nationally and internationally, USMS is a major teaching and research university, now comprising seven establishments with establishments in the cities of Beni Mellal, Khouribga and Khenifra. It provides the regional and national public with a wide range of fundamental and professional training.
In carrying out its tasks, Sultan Moulay Slimane University fulfills its mission to contribute to the development of the economy and the region which, in the face of progressive globalization, must meet new challenges. However, training, the strategic importance of which is one of the major and inevitable challenges in a highly competitive globalized context, requires us to ensure its indisputable quality by rethinking its nature, content, aims, relevance, transferability and efficiency. Our objective is to rethink the training offer, to explore the idea of a conscious teaching, where the university sets up training courses adapted to the challenges of our society, to stimulate the entrepreneurial spirit and to provide the tools to our teacher-researchers and our students to question our teaching methods in order to adapt them to a new era of knowledge transmission.
