Review: Universidade Lusíada de São Tomé e Príncipe

The University of São Tomé and Príncipe (USTP)  is a public higher education institution that arises from the need to create a structure capable of bringing together different institutions and training centers in order to provide functional and institutional uniformity to higher education in São Tomé and Príncipe. The USTP was created through Decree-Law no. 9/2014 by decision of the Government of São Tomé and Príncipe  and constitutes an emanation of  the Basic Law of the Educational System  that institutionalizes Polytechnic and University Higher Education in the structure of National Education – System.

Since 2014, the University of São Tomé and Príncipe has provided students with a rich and diverse learning environment. University offer several Degrees, Masters, Doctorates and Research, whether in the areas of Economics, Management, Health, Finance, Teaching, Accounting and Taxation, IT Management Systems, among others.

The USTP, in its physical structure, has four university campuses, three of which are located in the capital of Água Grande, São Tomé. It is thus formed by three organic institutions and a research and extension center.
