Universidad Superior Hernando Arias de Saavedra
The Hernando Arias de Saavedra Higher University is an institution that was initially called “Luque Technical Pedagogical University”, whose statutes were recognized by Decree of the Executive Power of the Nation No. 2603, dated March 8, 1994. Later, on March 19 On June 1997, LAW No. 2,670 of the Legislative Power was sanctioned, creating the Technical Pedagogical University of Luque. In 2007, Law No. 3527 was enacted, amending Art. 1 of Law No. 2670, and the “Pedagogical University of Luque” was renamed “Universidad Superior Hernando Arias de Saavedra”.
Initially, the university enabled degree courses in Law, Dentistry, Foreign Trade, Customs Administration, Sports Sciences, Business Administration, Public Accounting, Master’s Programs, Doctorate in Education Sciences and Human Movement Sciences. The university building has been designed exclusively for a university, it is modern and comfortable, to ensure that students feel not only identified, but also at home.

Universidad Superior Hernando Arias de Saavedra Admission
Registration can be done at the university building or you can pre-register online.
Requirements for the registration of Paraguayan students:
- Original certificate of studies and legalized by the MEC.
- 2 copies of Identity Card, authenticated by a Paraguayan notary.
- Original birth certificate and a copy authenticated by a notary public.
- 3 3×4 passport photos.
Requirements for the registration of foreign students:
- School History authenticated in Brazil or country of origin, translated and apostilled.
- 2 copies of RG or identity card authenticated by Paraguayan notary.
- Birth certificate authenticated by a Paraguayan notary.
- 3 3×4 passport photos.
- Temporary or permanent residence card issued by the Department of Migration.
Authentications, translations and apostille can be done through the university.
Procedures for Brazilian students will have a total approximate cost of R$ 500.00 and can be done in the foreign student service room located in the university building.
The residence card can also be obtained through the university, if the student so wishes.
The documents required for pre-registration (online) are:
- Photo of identity card or RG
- Photo of the birth certificate.
- Registration payment.
The necessary documents must be physically presented at the university and an enrollment form must be filled out in order to complete the enrollment. Pre-registration will ensure your place at the University.
