Universidad del Pacífico
The history of the Universidad del Pacífico began on February 28, 1962. At that time, a group of personalities from the business sector, with the support of the Society of Jesus, founded the University as a training and research center that should transcend the borders of the country.
Its first classes were given in a small building in the center of Lima, and its first rector was Juan Ignacio Helguera. In 1965, the Universidad del Pacífico moved to its traditional headquarters on Salaverry Avenue, in the Jesús María district, where it has grown strategically.
