Southeast College Admission Requirements

Admission Requirements:

  • Complete admission form.
  • Two (2) passport size photo.
  • Copy of the high school diploma and original for comparison (apostilled for foreigners).
  • Original high school credits (apostilled for foreigners).
  • Copy of ID (birth certificate for minors) or copies of passport if you are a foreigner.

CapU programs are open for everyone to apply, from early-entry high school students to mature student learners, from near or far.

Undergraduate admission requirements vary by program but, at a minimum, for most CapU programs, the school requires successful completion of:

  • B.C. secondary school (Grade 12) or equivalent (B.C. Adult Dogwood Graduation Diploma or General Education Diploma). International students: See International Secondary School Equivalencies.
  • A minimum grade point average of 2.0 (60%) is calculated on English Studies 12 or English 12 or English First Peoples 12 and two academic Grade 12 courses.

Once you are admitted, you may need to pass the English Diagnostic Test if you are taking English 100, or the Math Placement Test to gain admission to certain entry-level Math courses.

Southeast College Admission Requirements for International Students

Admission Requirements:

Step 1: Complete the Southeast College Application Form

Complete the online application for your chosen program. Please click here for a fill list of all programs eligible for international students.

Step 2:  Meet Admission Requirements and Submit Transcripts/English Language Proficiency Testing Results

You must review and understand the admission requirements for the program(s) you are applying for.

Submit all official secondary and post-secondary transcripts from your home country and/or  from within Canada.  An electronic copy is acceptable for admission purposes, however, original copies will have to be submitted to Southeast College prior to the start date of your program.

If your documents are in a language other than English, you must provide translated documents done by certified translators or interpreters.

Proof of English Language Proficiency Requirements must also be submitted at this time.

Forward your payment of $140.00 CAD application fee. When you apply using our online application, you will automatically be redirected to the Flywire payment site to complete the payment transaction.

Step 3: Offer Letter

If you meet the academic and English language requirements, you will receive an Offer Letter from Southeast College. This letter will set a deadline for payment of the tuition deposit, which is equivalent to 50% of the program tuition and mandatory fees.

Step 4: Study Permit

An international student in Canada must possess proper legal documents to study in Canada in accordance with the Canada Immigration Act. For more information regarding studying in Canada, a Study Permit, and a Temporary Resident Visa, please check the Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) web page.

Some programs have a mandatory work component. Please check your Letter of Acceptance carefully. If you are in one of these programs, please apply for a Co-op Work Permit at the same time you apply for your Canadian Study Permit.
