Applicants defined as adults under the following categories will be considered for admission to the College:

  1. Persons Eighteen Years Of Age Or Older
  2. A High School Graduate Less Than Eighteen Years Of Age
  3. Those Persons Jointly Approved By The College And Local School Authorities On A Case-By-Case Basis

All applications for admission shall be made on an official form available from the College. Each applicant must provide any supporting documentation required by the College.

Northlands College is moving to the commonly used application process known as First Qualified, First Admitted (FQFA) for many of our Mining, Technical & Trades, and Health programs.

FQFA means the sooner an applicant meets the application requirements or qualifies, the greater the chance they have of being accepted into their chosen program. Application requirements may include completing an application form, having a minimum grade level and/or average and providing additional entrance requirement documents.

This application process means that many of our post-secondary programs can be filled prior to the application deadline, so please APPLY SOON.

Once accepted, applicants will receive an admission package which will outline the program readiness expectations and deadlines. This includes tasks such as applying for and/or securing funding, and can include responsibilities such as providing a criminal records check. All program readiness documentation will expected to be on file by the application closing date in order to hold on to a seat. Waitlists are maintained so that applicants who fail to meet program readiness expectations are replaced.

Eligibility:

  1. any person that has achieved rank of Flight Corporal or higher in the Royal Canadian Air Cadet Program or an equivalent rank in any successor organization), and/or any current and former Officers and Non-Commissioned Members (including Officer Cadets) of the Cadet Instructor Cadre/Cadet Organization Administration and Training Services (or any successor organizations), who have served a minimum of two years with a Royal Canadian Air Cadet unit
  2. must be registered in an accredited post-secondary program (min. 20 weeks) in the current academic school year
  3. must be attending Northlands College in La Ronge or Air Ronge, SK

Selection criteria may include:

  1. actual rank and proficiency level achieved
  2. participation in Air Cadet summer training courses
  3. participation in extracurricular Air Cadet activities
  4. awards
  5. other achievements as noted by Unit Commanding Officer

Value:  $1,000 paid towards tuition, book, and other demonstrable expenses
