  1. Copy of unexpired Alien Certificate of Recognition (ACR) I-Card from the Bureau of Immigration
  2. Copy of unexpired Student VISA
  3. Letter of intent to study (indicating the course) at NORSU addressed to the University Registrar
  4. Photocopies of:
    • Valid Passport where the point of entry stamp is indicated
    • Valid Passport where the personal information is indicated
  5. Red Ribbon or Apostille Certificate (to be secured from the Philippine Department of Foreign Affairs) of the following:
    • Affidavit of Support (if education is supported by parents, guardians)
    • Transcript of Records for College Level or Secondary Certificate Completion (if applicable)
    • Birth Certificate
    • No Derogatory Record (NBI Clearance if already in the Philippines)

Senior High School Enrollment
  1. Negros Oriental State University accepts enrollment for the Senior High School for Students who graduated March 2016 onwards.
  2. Students who graduated High School effective March 2015 and below can still be accepted to enroll in college until 2018.
  3. Students who passed the DEPED Alternative Learning System (ALS) effective March 2015 and below can still be accepted to enroll in college until 2018.
  4. Students who passed the DEPED Alternative Learning System (ALS) effective March 2016 onwards are required to enroll in the Senior High School.
  5. Early adopters of the Senior High School will be accepted to enroll in college.

Negros Oriental State University Scholarship

Goals: The NORSU Scholarship Programs aim to stimulate talented Filipino youths to pursue productive careers, ensuring a steady supply of qualified human resources for national progress.

General Qualifications: To qualify, applicants must:

  1. Be Filipino citizens without dual citizenship.
  2. Have good mental and physical health.
  3. Possess good moral character.
  4. Not have any pending application for resident/immigrant status in the USA or any other country.

Specific Qualifications:

  • Annual family gross income must not exceed the poverty line set by NEDA.
  • Socio-economic status should align with the values specified for each scholarship program.

Requirements for Scholarship Application:

  1. FORM 138 (High School Report Card)

Selection Criteria: Final selection is based on: a) Qualification in the NORSU Admission Test. b) Grades meeting program requirements. c) Interview performance.

Enjoyment of Other Scholarship Awards: Students cannot enjoy other scholarship awards that interfere with their contractual obligations under the Scholarship Grant.

Deferment of Scholarship:

  • Deferment requests must be made in writing.
  • Maximum deferment period is one academic year.
  • Failure to enroll within a year forfeits the scholarship slot.

Scholarship Obligations: Scholars must:

  1. Know and comply with scholarship policies.
  2. Maintain grade requirements.
  3. Attend scholarship activities regularly.
