Founded in 1947, NAGA COLLEGE FOUNDATION was Dr. Melchor T. Villanueva’s answer to the growing need in Bicol for quality, affordable education. A public school teacher, and a passionate educator, Dr. Villanueva founded the school shortly after World War II to help rebuild Naga. The war brought along with it unique hardships. Education was particularly hard hit. As a result, teachers in Naga were scarce.

• Undergraduate Scholarships – DOST-SEI

The S&T Undergraduate Scholarships Program aims to stimulate and entice talented Filipino youths to pursue lifetime productive careers in science and technology and ensure a steady, adequate supply of qualified S&T human resources which can steer the country towards national progress.

The Junior Level Science Scholarship (JLSS) Program aims to: provide scholarships that will finance the education of talented and deserving students in their third year of college and who are pursuing degree programs in the areas of science and technology; and ensure a steady, adequate supply of qualified S&T human resources who can steer the country towards national progress.

• Scholarship for Dependents OWWA

A scholarship grant to qualified dependents of OFWs consisting of a maximum of Php 60,000.00 per school year until the completion of baccalaureate course (4-5 years). For incoming freshmen, the selection of scholars is determined through the DOST national examinations. Only the top 400 passers are considered for entry as freshmen; 600 slots are for those who are already enrolled in college.

Internal scholarships and discounts

Note: Students can avail of only one Scholarship/Discount given NCF. In cases of multiple scholarships/discounts, the student can avail of whichever is higher.

For other internal scholarship concerns, visit the Accounting Office and look for the Internal Scholarship Coordinator.

GENERAL PROCEDURE FOR INTERNAL SCHOLARSHIPS/DISCOUNTS APPLICATION 

1. Visit the Accounting Office, located on the Ground Floor of the Administrative Building, NCF-Main Campus.
2. Fill out the scholarship form.
3. Present and submit the requirements for verification and approval.
4. The process of availing of the discount/scholarship will start upon enrollment.
5. Discounts/scholarships will reflect on the student’s account on or before the preliminary examinations.
