Kownayn University is a Private Liberal arts Institution founded in 2013. Designed primarily for the public to unlock the potential of today’s generation by providing high quality education blending it with critical-thinking flavor to global populations in general and Africans-more specifically to the Somali population scattered throughout East Africa.

Kownayn University inspires to lead in the efforts, undertaken by many, to educate today’s generation for higher purposes. KU is designed to equip today’s generations with tools to be successful in this world and here-after.

The name Kownayn is chosen for its perceptions of tradition and history of Sh. Yusuf Al-Kownayn, the innovator of Qur’anic education and Alphabet reading systems for facilitating Qur’anic reading and memorization of it.

Admission is open for registration for the new students and existing students

The Admission Requirements and review procedures are same for all the freshman students for every faculties and the Student must submit:

⇒ Official Secondary school certificate with transcript (copy and original)

⇒ Identifications and/or birthday certificate with file or /and folder

⇒ Eight Passport photos size (6×4), your photo must be clear image of you, with White background

⇒ Application fee (non-refundable)

⇒ General Admission test scores (including English composition)
