Khazar University Admission Requirements
Undergraduate Admission Requirements:
Student admission to the Khazar University is carried out on a general basis. Prospective students participate in a general contest by taking test exams administered by the State Examination Center and enter the university provided they score a necessary point.
If the admission plan of the university is not completely fulfilled, then additional contests can be held. Prospective students who participated in test exams administered by the State Examination Center and scored necessary points can take part in the contest.
Bachelor’s degree education is offered on state order (at the expense of the state budget) or on a paid basis.
Education at Khazar University is regulated through a special contract made between the university and clients – a parent, student or enterprise.
At the beginning of an academic year, newly admitted students take a placement test at the Department of English Language and Literature and are grouped according to their level of language skills.

- Proof of ability to communicate and conduct academic research in the English language (no less than B2). A standardized English language test scores are not compulsory for providing in the initial stage, but Khazar University reserves its right to require such a test from the applicant, making it one of the conditions of final acceptance. The applicants with standardized scores on the C1/C2 levels (or TOEFL/IELTS equivalents) will have competitive advantage.

Eligibility Criteria
- To apply for the Government of Azerbaijan scholarship, candidates have to follow the following criteria.
- Applicants should be from the OIC and NAM member countries of Azerbaijan.
- The age of Undergraduate students should not be more than 25 years.
- Applicants should be younger than 30 years for the Graduate program.
- For the Doctoral program, the age of students should not be more than 40 years.
