Jaamacadda iyo Koollejka Admas | Admas University
Admas University, which is one of the pioneer Private Higher Education Institutions in Ethiopia, commenced its operation in October 1998 under the name “Admas Business Training Centre.” The Training Centre then started delivering training services in certain tailor-made short-term programs. By undertaking deep assessments of further training needs and making preparations in terms of the required human and material resources, the center upgraded itself to a college status as of April 1999, and to the status of a University College as of March 2007. Finally, after ensuring that all the requirements of Higher Education Proclamation No. 650/2009 have been met, the Ministry of Education of F.D.R.E. granted full University status to Admas as of July 2014.
The institution has a branch campus in Hargeisa, which is an autonomous branch of Admas University,[2] founded in 1998 in Ethiopia. It offers degrees on campus and through distance learning programs.
The University has links with internationally renowned institutions, such as Cisco and the University of Lübeck in Germany. It is also working on e-Learning sector development in Ethiopia.
The Somaliland Social and Economic Research Center is an autonomous body in the university and is a one-of-a-kind institute in Somaliland. It is dedicated to conducting and publishing research studies focused on the Somaliland region and other parts of Somalia.

Degree Admission requirements:
Applicants for admission to all degree programs must satisfy one of the following criteria:
A successful completion of the two year preparatory program with the minimum University Entrance Examinations result set for admission by Ministry of Education for the entry year Completion of Diploma program (12+2), (10+3, Level 4) with two years relevant work experience after graduation and Center of Competency (COC) certified and who pass the University’s entrance examination A degree program student from other accredited Higher Education Institutions who withdrawn for non – academic problems A first degree graduate in any field of study from accredited Higher Education Institutions These minimum requirements can be scaled up when there is high competition for admission or when the senate of the University’s wants to scale it up
When there is high competition for admission, grade point average at graduation, additional training after graduation, service year, gender and supporting letter from their employers shall be considered to offer the limited opportunities.
