Official requirements of the 2024 admission process
To apply for the Explora-UNESCO Quota, applicants must meet the following requirements:
1. Have participated for at least 1 year in any of the following activities of the Explora program: Research and School Innovation IIE (Academies, Clubs); Explora Provincial, Regional and/or National Congresses and Socialization Activities of IIE year 2023.
2. Have graduated from high school in 2021, 2022 or 2023.
3. Having taken or being in the process of taking a Higher Education Access Test (any of the following alternatives):
a) Transition Test (PDT) or Higher Education Access Test (PAES) during the year 2022,
b) Higher Education Access Test (winter PAES) 2023,
c) Be enrolled in the Higher Education Access Test (PAES) in 2023.
4. Motivation letter that briefly explains your scientific career, the reasons why you are applying and the rationale for career selection (free format).
REQUIREMENTS
- Having completed the PAES, or current general application access instruments, corresponding to the Admission Process of the current year or a previous year, that is, with a current score, however, this score will not be considered as an internal selection factor.
- Have taken the Elective Test required by the course of your application.
- Have a Ranking Score higher than your NEM score.
- Have a diagnosis of Disability Situation

Benefits for maintenance costs
In addition to the benefits focused on supporting the financing of your higher studies, there are various student assistance grants granted with State resources through the National School Aid and Scholarship Board (JUNAEB), which are complementary to the scholarships and where, Among several possibilities, the following stand out:
President of the Republic Scholarship
