About the university:

Brest State Technical University (BrSTU) is a large scientific and educational center in the western region of the Republic of Belarus. Here specialists are trained and a large volume of scientific research is carried out in the spheres of civil engineering, architecture, electronics, mechanical engineering, economics and ecology. Since 2011, the university has a quality management system. The development of the university is taking into account the changing needs of the republic and the region in the specialists: conditions are created for the training of highly qualified specialists; the expansion of the list of specialties is systematically planned; the Civil Engineering Faculty, as a part of the European Association of similar faculties, is developing and is preparing to give diplomas recognized in the EU countries in the near future to its graduates; the quality of the practical training of specialists is enhanced by combining theoretical training with the industrial practice of students of civil engineering specialties; a transition to a two-level training of specialists – specialists and masters.

Brest State Technical University is a member of the Association of Technical Universities and the Association of Network Cooperation, is a part of a consortium working on 6 projects of Erasmus + program. The University has signed over 130 cooperation agreements with leading foreign universities.

  • Architecture (training 5 years), graduates of this specialty are awarded the qualification – architect. Graduates work in institutions for the organization of architectural and construction business (architects of cities, districts, landscape gardening, etc.), in architectural and construction control services, in architectural and design organizations, in public utilities and architectural and construction control institutions, in urban construction sites and design organizations. Students, along with technical disciplines, study the history and theory of architecture, devote a lot of time to drawing, painting, sculpture, and architectural design.
  • Architectural design (study 5 years), upon completion of training, a qualification is awarded – an architect-designer. Graduates can work as architects, designers, teachers of higher education, specialists of territorial authorities.
  • Manufacture of building products and structures (training 4 years), specialization “Production of prefabricated and monolithic reinforced concrete structures.” Construction engineers and technologists are being trained for work in construction organizations, for work at prefabricated reinforced concrete plants, in design organizations, research institutes and educational institutions. Studying in this specialty, students acquire comprehensive knowledge of chemistry, chemical technology of binders, study the nomenclature of building materials, the technology of manufacturing and processing building materials on modern technological equipment using advanced technologies.
  • Roads (training 5 years), specialization “Construction of roads and airfields”. The need for civil engineers of this promising specialty arose in connection with the expansion and modernization of the network of roads connecting Western Europe and the CIS countries. During the years of study at the university, “road engineers” acquire the necessary knowledge and skills in the field of research, design, construction and operation of roads, calculation of the effectiveness of design and technological solutions. Graduates of this specialty work in construction, operational, research and design organizations for the construction of roads and runways.
  • Expertise and management of real estate (training 4 years). Graduates of this specialty are awarded the qualification of an engineer-specialist in real estate. Graduates who have received education in the field of expertise, valuation and management of real estate can work in state and local real estate management bodies; in agencies for the assessment and purchase (sale) of real estate, including land plots; in enterprises, banks, insurance companies and funds, where real estate makes up a significant share of the capital; in investment and construction companies involved in the construction, operation, repair and reconstruction of real estate at all stages of the life cycle.
