Autonomous University of Chile Admission Requirements
To apply for evening races you must meet one of the following requirements:
- Have taken PSU/PDT/PAES between the years 2013-2023 and have a minimum score of 450 (458 PAES scale) average points between Reading Competence and Mathematical Competence;
- have an NEM–RANKING equal to or greater than 5.5 and 600 points respectively or be in the top 30% NEM of your establishment. For applicants who have completed their secondary education abroad, an equivalence of their average to a Chilean grade will be carried out to determine if they have an average over 5.5 and must homologate their secondary studies in the Mineduc;
- prove the status of a dependent and/or independent worker, with a minimum of 3 months of seniority in current job; either
- have completed university or higher-level technical studies of at least 3 semesters.
Required documentation (students with PSU/PDT/PAES or NEM/Ranking):
- Chilean Secondary Education License or Certificate of studies equivalent to Secondary Education issued or recognized by the Ministry of Education.
- Photocopy of current identity card.
Required documentation (workers):
- Dependent workers must accompany one of the following documents: employment contract, salary statements, certificates of pension contributions or certificate of work seniority.
- Independent workers must submit one of the following instruments: annual tax return (form F22), monthly tax return (form F29 or F50) or the last 3 fee statements.
- Chilean Secondary Education License or certificate of studies equivalent to secondary education issued or recognized by the MINEDUC; and
- Photocopy of current identity card.

- Certificates that accredit level of curricular advancement in university and/or higher-level technical studies;

Autonomous University of Chile Admission Process
Starting with the 2024 Admission process, 3 modifications were incorporated to the Centralized Access routes:
- The Mathematical Competence 2 (M2) test weighs at least 5% in the majors: Industrial Civil Engineering, Computer Civil Engineering, Chemical Civil Engineering and Construction Engineering of our University.
- In Medicine and Dentistry we will only consider the elective Science test for weighting.
- Supernumerary quotas are opened for women in STEM careers (More Scientific Women + MC), the quota is up to 20% additional to the regular quotas, the first women who have been on the waiting list in these careers will be selected.
For the 2024 admission process According to Law 20,903, applicants for pedagogy courses at the Autonomous University of Chile must meet one of the following requirements to apply centrally:
- Have taken the university selection test or the instrument that replaces it, and obtained a performance that places them in the 50th percentile or higher, taking into account the average of the mandatory tests;
- Have a high school grade average that places you within the top 30 of your educational establishment.
Autonomous University of Chile Scholarship
If you are a first-year student and want to transfer to the Autonomous University at the end of your first semester, you will not be able to keep your benefit, and therefore, you will not have access to financing in the second semester. This occurs because one of the requirements for the allocation of scholarships and credits is that it is done annually.
On the contrary, if you are a second-year student or later you can make the change to the Autonomous University, as long as you meet the due requirements to renew scholarships and credits. In addition, you must not forget to make the process to request the change in our institution.
