Army University of Engineering and Technology Qadirabad Admission Requirements

Academic Calendar: Spring semester (January – April); Summer semester (May-August); Fall semester (September-December)

Rules and Procedures:

Candidates have to complete admission formalities within a fixed period of time as decided by admission office.
Any candidate failing to complete admission formalities within the prescribed time, her/his selection will be automatically cancelled.
Any student failing to attend the class within two weeks of the commencement of the academic program will be warranted cancellation of his/her admission and forfeiture of all fees including security deposit.
Vacant seats will be filled up from waiting lists which will be prepared and displayed by the admission office as per merit and be notified as per requirement.
Original copies of certificates and transcripts/mark sheets of SSC & HSC or equivalent examination
Five copies of passport size and two copies of stamp size recent colored photograph of the candidate
Testimonial from the head of the last institution attended
Nationality certificate from UP Chairman or appropriate authority or birth certificate
In case of Freedom Fighters (FF) quota, candidate must submit the original certificate of the FF issued by the Ministry of Freedom Fighters Affairs, the People’s Republic of Bangladesh.

Department Allotment: Departments will be allotted on the basis of individual merit position in the admission test at the end of admission against total vacancies. Individual choice for selection of departments will be given preference as far as possible.

Guardian’s Undertakings: During admission, parents/guardians of the candidate must give an undertaking with the conditions set by the BAUET authority.

Admission Schedule for Each Year:

For Summer (March to August) session the admission process starts from December of the previous year.
For Fall (September to February) session the admission process starts from July of the same year.
Selected candidates will get themselves admitted as per the time table to be announced by BAUET.

Qualification for Admission

Engineering Subjects:The candidate must have passed the SSC/O-Level and HSC/A-Level examinations or equivalent examinations with minimum GPA 3.00 in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics individually. The candidate must have a total of GPA 8.00 in SSC and HSC examinations or equivalent examinations.

Business & Humanities Subjects: The Candidate must have at least GPA 3.00 (with 4th Subject) in HSC or equivalent examination. They must have a total of GPA 6.50 (with 4th Subject) in SSC and HSC examinations or equivalent examinations.

*In case of provisional admission, candidate must have to submit the verified certificate by the head of the institute that the particular student is expected to pass with at least GPA 3.50. Admission of such candidates will however be cancelled if they fail to achieve the target grade. In case of such cancellation money is refundable.

General Criteria For Waiver:

The students shall submit attested copies of all required papers (certificates and mark sheets of SSC a. HSC, freedom fighter’s certificate, relevant relationship certificate, and certificates related to the particular area of living), and produce the original ones on demand.
The students must register for all the offered courses in the current semester.
The waiver given to a student shall continue in the subsequent semester on condition of earning the credits of all the courses registered in the immediate past semester.
Students having ‘F’ grade in any subject in the immediate past semester will not be eligible for any waiver.
Students having break of study in the immediate past semester will not be entitled to any waiver.
Student having report of misconduct or disciplinary issues shall not be entitled to any waiver.
Unless the Vice Chancellor, in any individual case, directs otherwise, students having outstanding dues will not to get any financial waiver.

Meritorious But Poor Students from Remote & Underdeveloped Areas:

Minimum three percent (3%) Meritorious but Poor Students from Remote & Underdeveloped Areas will get tuition fee waiver after being selected by the following criteria:

a. Determination of Poor Students:

Parents monthly income is below 20,000/-
Economically disadvantaged (monthly income below 20,000/- and orphan will get priority).
Economic status is to be authenticated by the respective UP Chairman/or concerned authority
Screening, will be carried out through an Interview Board/Committee

b. Remote & Underdeveloped Area:
The list of areas considered as Remote & Underdeveloped is attached as Annexure- A.
