Alonso De Ojeda University
The Alonso de Ojeda University ( UNIOJEDA ), is a Venezuelan private university located in Ciudad Ojeda of Zulia state , Venezuela . It is one of the most important on the Eastern Coast of the Lake.
The project to create the Alonso de Ojeda University dates back to 1997 with the aim of creating a higher education institution that would carry out teaching, research and extension activities in accordance with the provisions of the Law on Universities, for the benefit of the young high school graduates and their families from Ciudad Ojeda in particular and from the entire Eastern Coast of Lake Maracaibo in general, in addition to having an impact on the social, cultural, educational, economic, scientific and technological development of the region.
The Alonso de Ojeda University today has two locations: The Engineering campus or main campus located on Vargas street with Avs. 51 and 54 and the Humanities headquarters located on Carretera N with Calle 34.
It has educational agreements with the Readic University Institute of Technology , which covers the city of Maracaibo.
