Al Azhar University-Gaza
From the day we opened our doors in 1991, we have made great strides in becoming one of the prominent universities in Palestine. Al Azhar University – Gaza (AUG) has steadily provided successive generations with solid education, and has fundamentally contributed to achieve the Palestinian dream of establishing a Palestinian national university able to fulfill the ambitions and dreams of the Palestinian upcoming generations, and to help them pursue their higher studies under the supervision of highly qualified Palestinian cadres.
Thousands of Palestinian students have joined AUG, pursuing studies in different academic fields, and acquiring the Palestinian values to help them take part in the construction of their own state. AUG has currently around 16,000 undergraduate students in twelve faculties (Medicine, Pharmacy, Dentistry, Science, Engineering and Information Technology, Applied Medical Sciences, Agriculture and Environment, Education, Economics and Administrative Sciences, Arts and Human Sciences, Law, and Sharia).
