King Saud University Admission Requirements
Undergraduate (Bachelor) Degree Admission Requirements:
- Origin of high school certificate.
- Origin of ID card.
- Colored personal photos, size 4 x 6 cm, with a white background (with hijab for female students).
- Employer’s Approval (for employees).
- Birth certificate, mother’s ID and Saudi son’s ID (for non-Saudi students of a Saudi mother and the student mother of a Saudi son)
- A certified certificate stating the reason for withdrawal for the student withdraw ing from any other educational institution.
Graduate (Master’s) and Doctoral (PhD) Degree Admission Requirements:
Master’s Programs | A score of at least 70 in the General Aptitude Test, except for students on external scholarships and (executive / medical education) programs. |
PhD Programs | A score of at least 45 in the TOEFL-iBT test, 4 in the IELTS Academic test, or 60 in STEP; the concerned department may require a higher score.A score of at least 70 in the General Aptitude Test, except for students on external scholarships. |

King Saud University Scholarship Requirements
- Eligibility Criteria:
- High school diploma or equivalent from the applicant’s country.
- Not previously accepted into a similar program in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
- Medically fit.
- Age requirement: Between 17 and 25 years.
- Secondary school completion duration: Not exceeding five years.
- Document Submission Requirements:
- Color copy of original high school certificate.
- Color photos of secondary school transcripts for the first, second, and third grades.
- Certification and authentication by:
- Ministry of Education in the country of issuance.
- Ministry of Foreign Affairs or its substitute in the country of issuance.
- Documents must be free of deletions or modifications, and the name must match the name on previous educational documents and passport.
- Equivalency Procedure After Admission:
- Submission of original academic documents (copies not accepted).
- Certification and authentication by:
- Ministry of Education in the country of issuance.
- Ministry of Foreign Affairs or its substitute in the country of issuance.
- Saudi Embassy or its substitute.
- Documents must be free of deletions or modifications, and the name must match the name on previous educational documents and passport.
- After arrival, the student submits a request to the General Administration for Diploma Equivalency at the Ministry of Education in Saudi Arabia.
