University of Development Alternative Admission Requirements

Academic Calendar: Spring semester (January – April); Summer semester (May-August); Fall semester (September-December)

Required grade levels for admission:

• SSC and HSC with minimum GPA of 2.50 in each (except for Music, Fine Arts) or a GPA of 2.00 in either SSC or HSC but with a combined GPA of 6.00 in both SSC and HSC or a combined GPA of 5.00 in both SSC and HSC. For children of freedom fighters father’s / mother’s certificate of joining the Libration War has to be provided
• ‘0’ level – at least 5 subjects  and ‘A’ level at least 2 subjects.  From both these 7 subjects Minimum Grade B in 4 subjects (GPA- 4) and grade ‘C’ (GPA-3.5) in three subject.
• A 12-year Higher Secondary School Education from the SAARC countries.

University of Development Alternative Scholarship

The University Of Development Alternative (UODA) has announced full free scholarship in honour of the language movement martyrs.

The university observed the International Mother Language Day on Wednesday through awarding the scholarship to five students.

At the beginning of Wednesday’s programme, university teachers and students placed wreaths at the makeshift memorial at Faculty of Fine Arts premises at Dhanmondi area of Dhaka.

Later, UODA founder and president Professor Mujib Khan announced names of five students to award scholarships named after five language martyrs, said a press release.

Mujib Khan, along with UODA Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Rafiqul Islam Sharif and Registrar Professor Dr Iffat Quayes Chowdhury, handed over the scholarship to five students.

University’s Computer Science and Engineering department student Md Jahidul Islam has got Tk 240,000 as the recipient of Shaheed Salam Scholarship.

Bachelor of Business Administration department student Anjuman Ara Borno received Tk 168,000 as the winner of Shaheed Barkat Scholarship.

The university authority awarded Shaheed Rafique Scholarship worth Tk 216,000 to Pharmacy department student Ayesha Alam.

Another BBA department student Imran Hossain has got Tk 168,000 as the recipient of Shaheed Jabbar Scholarship.

Pharmacy department student Mamataj Begum has received Shaheed Shafiur Scholarship worth Tk 240,000.

Later, a cultural segment was presented by the Music department of the university remembering language martyrs. Popular actor, model and singer Chanchal Chowdhury also took part in the cultural programme.
