Academic Calendar: Spring semester (January – April); Summer semester (May-August); Fall semester (September-December)
Undergraduate Degree Admission Requirements
Education is bilingual either in French or in English. Students must master both languages at the end of their studies. To integrate UFE, students must demonstrate a minimum level either in English or French equivalent to B1 level.
A mandatory pre-semester is organized before courses start.
Application evaluation with grades, a recommendation letter of the High School and a video presenting a personal statement (Who Am I, What do I like, Whom do I want to become,…)
After admission, final registration is final after meeting criteria for all engineering programs, including the TIC, set by the Ministry of Higher Education.
The candidate must obtain 80% in the baccalaureate. All students are admitted to a first year of preparation (PREP 1). Those interested in the Technology of Informatics and communication Program should pursue a second preparatory year.
At the end of PREP 2, students choose their specialty with new admission criteria.

The admission period open on April 25th till June 30th. Future students must apply both on the website of the MOSHER and on UFE website. Once the admission fee is paid, the procedure is fully online : interview, documents deposit and language evaluation.

The selection for entry into the first year (M1) is as follows:
- Pre-selection on file: CV, cover letter, copy of the last diploma as well as the transcript.
- Educational interview
Online French language assessment test. Students of French mother tongue, students for whom French is the official language of their country and students holding the French baccalaureate or DELF B2 are exempt from the French test.

Applications are made from March on sending the file by email.
- The pre-selected candidates are notified by email from the beginning of June.

French University in Egypt Scholarship Requirements. Awarding of scholarship is based on merit.
- From score 75 to 80 = 15% Scholarship on Standard fees
- from 80 to 90 = 25% Scholarship on Standard fees
- From 90 to 95 (Bac, IG, American, IB) = 30% scholarship on standard fees
- From 90 to 95 (Thanaweya Ama) = 50% scholarship
- From 95 to 100 (Bac, IG, American, IB) = 35% scholarship

Guidance for full scholarships
The scheme will reward 20 students who have achieved a particularly outstanding academic record. It will cover all tuition fees for the duration of the program: 3 years for a bachelor’s degree, 4 or 5 years for a bachelor’s degree and 2 years after the bachelor’s degree for a master’s degree.
Students can benefit from these scholarships on all UFE programs offered in cooperation with 8 French partner universities, all ranked in the top 5% worldwide.
A jury organized by the university will meet and select the best applications based on the applicant’s academic excellence, motivation and the quality of his/her professional project.
