West Coast College is a Technical Vocational Education and Training College (TVET) where you will gain a meaningful qualification to gain access to the world of work, become an entrepreneur or enter university, depending on subject choices. The college offers integrated theoretical and practical experience and exposure to your chosen programme. It provides you with an opportunity to make a career change with the skills you gain.

Before 1999 West Coast College consisted of several small satellites, which were then merged and officially declared as a FET College in 2002.

Step 1:
Choosing the programme you would like to study

Please choose the programme of your choice and the campus you would like to study at or where the programme is offered

Step 2:
Access the online application
 or visit a campus near you to complete an online application. Students with special needs should please contact our Student Support Office on (022) 482 1143 as well as complete the Special Needs Application Form, you can download here

Step 3:
Complete the Applications online application with the following supporting documents and submit it online.

NB Residence Application is a separate process.

Application Process for 2023 studies will open after the 2022 Second Semester Registration

Apply by 30 November 2022 (Last Chance) ⇒ West Coast College provisionally approves your application ⇒ Register in January 2023

Step 4:
Career Guidance and Assessment 

All new students need to undergo a Career Guidance and Assessment with the help of the PACE Career Assessment tool to determine applicants numeracy and literary levels. It is not meant to exclude but rather assist students. Please Contact the Career Guidance Officers / Student Support Officers per campus for more info in this regard.
