Conditions for accepting applicants
Bachelor’s degree
- The basic condition for the admission of an applicant to VŠEM is the successful completion of secondary school studies with a high school diploma.
- It is a mandatory attachment to the application for a bachelor’s degree
- officially certified photocopy of the school leaving certificate,
- structured CV,
- original proof of payment of the application fee.
- An applicant who completes secondary school studies in the current academic year is required to submit a certificate of the matriculation exam after it has been completed.
Master’s degree
- The basic condition for admission to the master’s degree is the successful completion of studies at the 1st level of study in the study programs Public Administration and Management of Small and Medium Enterprises in the Regions or in related study programs.
- Applicants from other universities will be admitted to the master’s degree program on the condition that they pass differential exams in selected subjects of the compulsory basis of the study program for which they have applied. The rector of VŠEM will decide on differential exams based on the recommendation of the relevant director of the institute. A fee is set for the performance of differential tests in accordance with the valid VŠEM Fees Directive.

A certificate of medical fitness is not required.
Admission procedure for bachelor’s or master’s studies at VŠEM in Bratislava
- The admission procedure is carried out without admission exams based on the results of the previous study without the personal participation of the applicant.
- The applicant applies to VŠEM by sending an application for the chosen form of study and the chosen study program by the specified deadline.
Applications must be submitted by March 31 , or until June 30, or in an additional period until August 31 of the current calendar year .
In justified cases, VŠEM can set another additional deadline. - The application of each applicant to study at VŠEM must be submitted in electronic form and on the VŠEM form, which is automatically generated by the electronic application.

The validity of the electronic application is conditional on sending the application in paper form with all attachments.
The electronic application for the academic year 2022/2023 is published here. - The selection of applicants as part of the admission procedure is carried out by the admission committee appointed by the rector of the university based on the evaluation of the study results of the completed previous studies. According to the study average, it creates a ranking of applicants proposed for admission. Applicants for external studies will also take into account previous experience and current job classification.
- The rector of VŠEM decides whether or not to accept applicants based on principles approved by the Academic Senate of VŠEM and based on the recommendation of the admissions committee.
- The decision on the result of the admission procedure will be sent to ALL study applicants within 30 days of the admission committee meeting. It contains a statement, justification and instruction on the possibility of submitting a request for a review of the decision.
- The university is responsible for the correctness of data and their protection. The applicant’s personal data is used only for the needs of the admission procedure and may not be provided for other purposes.
