Academic Calendar: Spring semester (January – April); Summer semester (May-August); Fall semester (September-December)

Valley View University Entry Requirements

  1. Terminal Degree Programs: Applicants must hold a relevant master’s degree. Must pass admission interview.
  2. Second Degree Programs: Applicants must hold a relevant bachelor’s degree with second class lower or better. Must pass admission interview.
  3. First Degree Programs: Applicants must have any of these:
    •  WASSCE/SSSCE Candidates: Credit Passes (Al-C6/A-D) in six (6) subjects comprising three core subjects, including English Language and Mathematics, plus three (3) relevant elective subjects.
    • GBCE Candidates: Credit Passes (A-D) in six (6) subjects comprising three core subjects including English Language and Mathematics plus three (3) relevant elective subjects.
    • GCE Advanced Level holders: Passes in three (3) subjects (at least, one of the passes should be Grade D or better).  Also, must have had credit passes (Grade 6) in GCE Ordinary Level subjects including English Language, Mathematics, and a science subject (for non-Science students) and an Arts subject (for Science students).
    • Full Diploma Certificate in ABCE. Also, the applicant must have had credit passes in five (5) subjects including English Language, Mathematics, Integrated Science or Social Studies in the GBCE or SSSCE or WASSCE.
    • Baccalaureate Holders with credit-passes and other Foreign High School diplomas equivalent to West Africa Senior School Certificate Examination.  All such certificates should be translated upon application, and evaluated by the Ghana Tertiary Education Commission
    • Diploma/Registered General Nursing/Midwifery certificate holders.
    • Other Diploma holders from recognized tertiary institutions may apply to the relevant programs.
    • Mature Students: Applicants must be 25 years and above and should pass the University’s Mature Entrance Examination comprising English Language, Mathematics, and General Paper.
