University of Zalingei
The University of Zalingei is one of the public universities, with a national vision, mission and goals, and a state of concentration and spread. It is located in Zalingei, the capital of Central Darfur State, and is currently based. It was established in 1994 within a system of other public universities that have spread in all states of Sudan. Since its inception and until April 2015, it was spread in its various colleges and centers throughout the states of West and Central Darfur.
However, after the establishment of El Geneina University, the spread of Zalingei University has so far been limited to Central Darfur, and a number of its faculties and centers have transferred to El Geneina University, including: the Faculty of Economics and Social Studies, The College of Education, the foundation stage, the College of Technology Sciences, El Geneina Branch, the College of Applied Health Sciences, the College of Community Development, El Geneina Branch, and the Center for Peace Studies and Development, El Geneina Branch.
