Undergraduate (Bachelor) Degree Admission Requirements:
Applicants to the University of Chile through the Higher Education Access System must comply with all the requirements established by said system. Otherwise, they will not be considered valid for the application and selection process. The requirements established by the Access System are the following:
- Have a valid score for the mandatory Reading Proficiency and Mathematical Proficiency 1 (M1) tests.
- Have a valid score for one of the elective tests, whether it is History and Social Sciences or Science.
- Have an average score on the Reading Proficiency and Mathematical Proficiency 1 (M1) tests equal to or greater than 458 points; If you have a lower score, be within the top 10% of the average high school grades at your school.
In addition, students interested in entering the Pedagogy programs offered by the University of Chile must comply with the additional requirements established by Law 20,903 .
Exceptionally for the 2024 admission process, the University of Chile will not require additional requirements to those established by the Access System as a whole and by legislation. Therefore, for Admission 2024, a minimum weighted score will not be established to apply or be within a certain number of preferences.
However, for its special admission routes, the University of Chile does have additional requirements depending on each of these.
Re-entry of students eliminated or with current registration
Students who have been eliminated from a career or program at the University of Chile , for established regulatory academic reasons, will not be able to apply , through a new selection process, to that same career or program, before elapsed. the period of one year counted from the date of the elimination . For these students, in the event that they re-enter the same career or program, the approval of subjects taken and previously approved will be resolved by the Dean’s Office or Directorate of the respective academic unit, under the conditions and curricular requirements that said authority determines in each case. .
Students who have current registration as of November 1, 2023 at the University of Chile (including postponements or suspensions carried out during the current year), and who have not registered resignation as of that date in the respective Secretary of Studies, They will not be able to apply through a new selection process to the same career or program in which they are currently enrolled. In this way, they will be disqualified from applying on the application platform for the 2024 Admission Process in said race.
Likewise, students who have resigned from the same degree more than twice will not be eligible to apply for said program through the 2024 Admission Process unless they submit a special request to the respective School Directorate before the November 1, 2023 and that it be approved by the Dean or the respective Director.
