The University of Sfax is a university based in Sfax. It was founded in 1986. The university is very open to its socio-economic environment. It largely contributes to diversifying the economic fabric of the governorate of Sfax and to strengthening the economic weight that the region represents on a national scale.

FOREIGN STUDENTS :

Registration procedures for foreign students in Tunisian universities are governed by Circular No. 05/08 of February 5, 2005, which specifically provides:
– The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research predefine quotas for each country.
– The quotas are established on the basis of the places reserved for each Tunisian establishment.
– The admission of foreign students is done through the official authorities of their countries;
– The Directorate General for International Cooperation studies all application files, all registration procedures and some cases of reorientation must imperatively go through this directorate.
– Non-resident foreign students who wish to enroll in Tunisian universities are required to undergo a medical check-up.
– Registration for foreign students is done online using a unique identifier issued by the General Directorate for International Cooperation.
– The Directorate General for International Cooperation alone is empowered to inform, via the official authorities, foreign students of the decisions to accept or refuse their applications.

ADMISSION OF FOREIGN STUDENTS FOR STUDIES IN PUBLIC HIGHER EDUCATION ESTABLISHMENTS:

Foreign students are admitted to public universities within the framework of quotas and offers agreed with their country of origin. It is solely up to the Directorate General for International Cooperation to study the application files of foreign students and authorize them to enroll in the various university establishments.
