Université Al Quaraouiyine
The Minister of Endowments and Islamic Affairs, upon the proposal of the President of the University of Al-Qarawiyyin, Prof. Dr. Amal Jalal, appointed Prof. Dr. Muhammad Bennani Zubeir as Secretary General of the University of Al-Qarawiyyin.
Prof. Bennani had previously held this position since 1995 when the University of Al-Qarawiyyin was affiliated with the Ministry of Higher Education, Scientific Research and Training of Executives, before the Emir of the Faithful, His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God preserve him, kindly reorganized and restructured this university by virtue of Honorable No. 1.15.71 issued on 7 Ramadan 1436 H (24 June 2015).
Mr. Bennani is a professor of higher education at the University of Al-Qarawiyyin, born in the city of Fez in 1964. He obtained a state doctorate in 2000 from the Faculty of Arts, Dahr Al-Mahraz, in Fez, specializing in Andalusian and Moroccan studies, and before that he obtained a postgraduate diploma specializing in Andalusian Moroccan literature in 1991 from the same faculty.
