The UNPHU was founded on April 21, 1966, as a private, non-profit institution.  

The name of Pedro Henríquez Ureña, chosen to designate the university, is a tribute to that great Dominican philologist and humanist, glory of letters in America and the world.

The founders of the UNPHU are representative personalities of important activities in the country, which were grouped in the private organization called Fundación Universitaria Dominicana Pedro Henríquez Ureña, Inc. (FUDPHU), sponsor of the university. Its mission is to train the ideal human resource capable of becoming agents of change, promoter of sustainable development and facilitator of the transformation processes demanded by society.

When you fill out the button to apply for admission, it tells you how to create an access request to enter to fill out the admission application.Fill out the online admission form.When you submit the online admission application (you must fill in all the required fields indicated on the form), an admissions staff validates it and through the email indicated on the form, you receive a payment link. Response time: 24 business hours.When you make the admission payment, indicate the email of orientador@unphu.edu.do so that they assign you a date and instructions to take the admission test.All careers carry additional entrance evaluations to be admitted and will be convened after passing the Poma exam to continue the admission process.If admitted, you must complete all the documents required to receive the registration number and formalize your entry on the date indicated.Otherwise, you can collect your documents at the Admissions office.

NOTE: The Admissions Office only keeps the documents for three months of those students who did not enter, after that date, they are deleted.

FOREIGN

To start the application process for admission to one of the Schools or programs of the University, foreign students must follow the following procedure:

Fill out the online admission form.

If the student comes from High School, they must take the Admission Test or submit PAA or SAT results.

Once these original documents are received in Admissions and a copy in the Department of International Affairs to be sent to the corresponding School where the student has applied for admission, for proper evaluation. Within a maximum period of two weeks, the student will receive a response on this application for admission to the corresponding School.If the student is accepted to the university, the Admissions department will issue their respective acceptance letter, which will be sent to the student through the Office of International Affairs via email and later via regular mail.Once accepted at the university, the student must submit all the required documentation to formalize their admission and complete their admission process.
