Universidad Metropolitana de Asunción
The Metropolitan University of Asunción (UMA) is a privately managed University created by National Law, No. 2073 of February 3, 2003.
Since its creation, UMA has sought to make “Academic Excellence” a reality and has set itself the challenge of providing comprehensive, high-quality higher education, with clear objectives, in accordance with its Mission and Vision, appropriate for the present and the future.
It began its activities in the same year of its creation, with the Education Sciences and English Language Career dependent on the Faculty of Humanities; achieving a remarkable growth as an Institution of Higher Education. In 2005, the Faculty of Economics and Business Sciences was created with authorization from the Higher University Council and the Council of Universities, for the careers of Accounting and Auditing, Economics and Business Administration.
