Universidad Gran Asunción
The UNIGRAN, was created in 2009, by Law No. 3948/09 and Law No. 4065/10 to respond to the great demand of the society and the community of the Central Department and others created in different cities of the country, this University It was born above all to give answers to people with limited economic resources, who must pay for their higher education by working, without the need to leave their families, communities, and thus avoid the uprooting that does so much harm to Paraguayan families.
With the Creation of the ARANDU’A Foundation, by Decree No. 2097/09, in view of the presentation made to the Ministry of the Interior on December 3, 2008 with the Registration in the Pertinent Registries and the Approval of Bylaws and Recognition of its legal status and later as a civil person with its own capacity of its Social Statutes, the Autonomous University of Greater Asunción was born, according to the Social Statute dated September 28, 2009, in the aforementioned Statute according to Act No. 1 the Superior University Council is created, and that in article 1 of the Statute it mentions that the University was born non-profit, with the character of Higher Education, created at the request of the Arandu’a Foundation, and that from now on it will be governed by all the Laws that govern Higher Education.
