It was under the impetus of the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore (Milan, Italy) and the Katholieke Universiteit Nijmegen (Nijmegen, the Netherlands) that in 1924 the first efforts were made to bring Catholic universities together in a Federation. At that time it was about talking about specific issues that concerned them. This materialized the following year in the course of a meeting that took place at the Catholic Institute of Paris, in which fourteen institutions were represented to celebrate a first General Assembly. In 1927, a first yearbook of Catholic universities was published.

It was after the Second World War that the Fœderatio Universitatum Catholicarum took flight. It was established by decree of the Holy See in 1948 and recognized by Pope Pius XII in 1949. FIUC collaborates with the Secretary of State, the Congregation for Catholic Education, AVEPRO, and various departments, including the department for human development integral.

The designation International Federation of Catholic Universities (FIUC) dates back to 1965.

Universidad Católica Nuestra Señora Reina de La Paz Tuition Fees

The evaluation fee must be paid after receiving a favorable response to the submitted application.

The higher education institutions that are members of the Federation will be able to benefit from very advantageous rates.

Fees for FIUC member institutions: 400 euros

Fees for institutions that are not members of FIUC: 1,500 euros

The payment conditions will be communicated at the time of acceptance of the request.

Universidad Católica Nuestra Señora Reina de La Paz Admission

Higher education institutions must communicate their interest in being evaluated by filling in the online form available in the space dedicated to “University Social Responsibility” on the IFCU website. The institutions must also send, signed, dated and with the institutional seal, the Document of Adhesion to the device, downloadable from the website. This Document specifies the respective commitments of the IFCU, on the one hand, and of the institution requesting the seal of quality, on the other. It establishes the responsibilities, rights and duties of each of the parties within the framework of the evaluation mechanism. The Document of Adhesion must be sent, scanned, to the email indicated in the form.

Non-member institutions must also provide a copy of the official document of recognition as a Catholic higher education institution issued by the Congregation for Catholic Education, sending it to the email indicated on the form.

Once the application is approved, the person designated as responsible for the evaluation within the candidate institution will receive confirmation from the Federation, as well as an order for the payment of the evaluation costs.

After payment of the fee, the person designated as responsible will receive the access codes to the online platform in which they must enter the required information, as well as upload the documents requested or in support of the data provided. The online platform will be available in English and Spanish.

Said information can be entered from the opening of the platform, that is, from April 1 of each year, until August 31 of the same year.

FIUC reserves the right to request additional information from candidate institutions.

The results will be analyzed by the Mileva AI system and communicated to each institution between September and October of the same year through the online platform (dashboard). The Dashboard will be available in English and Spanish. One or more quality seals will also be awarded at that time, if applicable. The beneficiary institutions will also be sent a communication regarding the granting of the quality seal(s), their logo(s) and a Score Table summarizing the granting criteria.
