The UNIVERSIDAD AUTÓNOMA SAN SEBASTIÁN de SAN LORENZO – (UASS), is a non-profit, privately managed Public Educational Institution, authorized by Law No. 3,185 dated April 18, 2007 and with the favorable opinion of the Council of Universities according to Resolution No. 14 dated March 12, 2007, with a Clear Mission and a Vision that has achieved the recognition and support of the entire society.
It was created at the request of the Foundation of the same name, whose founders, Prof. Dr. Fulgencio Samudio Ozuna and Prof. Dr. Julia Rossana Benítez de Samudio, wanted to provide the City of San Lorenzo with a Higher Education institution identified with the community, given that the high rate of the group of young people of university age increased every year and in order to join the phalanx “Higher Education-Business-Society” as the new challenge for universities presented today by the international situation. In 7 years of existence, it became an inexhaustible pool from which professionals of all social levels emerged in the various undergraduate and postgraduate careers, having to date 6 promotions of graduates
