Universidad Autónoma del Paraguay
A group of members of the Circle of Dentists of Paraguay dedicated themselves to the arduous task of creating a higher level educational institution. Nothing was easy at the beginning of this idea, as some colleagues were characterized by their faith and optimism and others only invoked the negative aspects and doubts about the success of such a great undertaking.
It is noteworthy that for approximately three years there has been intense work in weekly evening meetings and on weekends and holidays, obviously without any type of remuneration, only the desire to create a high-level, quality educational institution for the country where our children , children of colleagues and the entire community could start a professional career. For curriculum design, numerous seminars had been held in the country and also abroad, especially in Araracuara (Brazil) and Cuyo (Mendoza-Argentina). Specialists in education from the Pan American Health Organization and the World Health Organization (PAHO-WHO) also participated.
