Saint Ferdinand College
St. Ferdinand College, a Catholic educational institution, was founded on September 28, 1950 by Msgr. Ricardo A. Jamias and Judge Manuel Arranz who were members of the Knight of Columbus IIagan Center, now Council 3705, Dr. Jose Valdez and Msgr. Alejandro Olalia.
The Articles of incorporation was signed on December 21, 1950. It started its formal operation in the year 1951-1952 with Kindergarten, Liberal Arts and Elementary Education programs. The Congregation of Franciscan Sisters of the Immaculate Conception (CFIC now SFIC) took over the reins of the College from 1952 to 1975. After 1975, lay administrators took over.

Saint Ferdinand College Scholarship
The school in its commitment to help the poor but deserving students offers varied scholarship programs to qualified bonafide students of St. Ferdinand College.
BOT Scholarship
The BOT Scholarship slot is to be determined by the individual trustee provided that the candidates/applicants for the foregoing scholarship should posses the following quaifecations. The grantee for this scholarship is entitled to free tuition fee including computer and science laboratory fee.
Parish Scholarship
The Parish Scholarship by virtue of BR#91, s 1998 intends to help the poor feeder parishes. The qualified parish scholars are entitled to 100% tuition fee discount only. This scholarship is applicable only for those who have not earned any college degree yet. This shall not cover second coursers. The Feeder Parish Scholarship slot is to be determined by the concerned Parish Priest provided that the candidate/applicants for the foregoing scholarships should possess the needed qualifications.
P.D. 451 Scholarship (Student-Aide)
The P.D. 451 Scholarship Slot is to be determined by the administartion. The P.D. 451 scholar by virtue of BR#16, s. 1990 is entitled to free tuition fee including miscellaneous and other fees. The candidates/applicants for the foregoing scholarship should possess the needed qualifications.
Academic Scholarship for College
To qualify for an academic scholar in the tertiary level, either Full Academic Scholar or Half Academic Scholar, the applicant must meet the needed criteria.
SFC Alumni Scholarship
The St. Ferdinand College Alumni Association (SFC AA) as part of its service to the institution grants scholarship to poor deserving students who are interested to obtain college education. The scholarship offers free tuition fee for a macimum of 21 units only and miscellaneous fee including laboratory fee. There are only four (4) slots for Alumni Scholarship. Only after a grantee shall have graduated will new slots be opened to applicants. Applicants shall me ranked according to the criteria below and the one with the highest rank will be given the vancant slot. The qualified applicants will be subject for interview by the President of the SFCAA and the VP for Academic Affairs.

General Requirements for Admission
Saint Ferdinand College generally adheres to the open admission policy for enrolling in SFC except in the colleges or departments with board examinations.
The school reserved the right to refuse admission of students due to poor performance, involvement in activities contrary to SFC’s mission/vision, rules and policies and lack of required credentials.
The following are the general requirements for admission:
Incoming Freshmen
- Original copy og the Report Card (Form 138A)
- Certificate of Good Moral Character
- Result of qualifying exams and the English Proficiency Test required by the schooland/or the college where one intends to enroll.
- Interview with the Dean concerned
- 5 pcs. 2×2 colored ID with white background for the Dean’s Office, Librarian,Guidance Office and Registrar’s Office and SPS Office.
- Birth Certificate
- Window-stamped letter envelop with the complete name and address of parents/guardian to whom the final rating card will be sent.
- Marriage certificate (photocopy if married)
Transferees
- Honorable Dismissal from the School last attended
- True Copy of Grades (TOR)
- Certificate of Good Moral Character
- Interview with the Dean concerned
- 2 pcs. 2×2 and 2 pcs. 1×1 colored ID with white background.
- Birth Certificate
- Window-stamped letter envelop with the complete name and address of parents/guardian to whom the final rating card will be sent.
Cross Enrollees
- Permit to cross enroll from the Mother School indicating the subjects to be taken.
Graduate School
- For graduate studies, a Graduate Program Entrance Examination is taken and apersonal interview with the applicant is conducted by the GraduateProgram Coordinator and/or the College Dean.
Enrollment Procedures
Incoming Freshmen
1. Proceed to the Dean’s Office of the department/program you want to enroll in, for interview. Present the credentials required for admission.
2. Proceed to the Cashier’s Office for payment of fee for the English ProficiencyTest.
3. Present your receipt for payment for English Proficiency Test to the Guidance Office and get your schedule for the examination.
4. For students enrolling in programs with qualifiying exams, proceed to the Dean’s Office for the entrance examination.
5. Secure for a certificate of enrollment from the NSTP office.
6. Proceed to the Registrar’s Office to secure the Registration Form upon submission of your admission credentials and the result of th English Proficiency Test,
qualifying exams and NSTP enrolment form.
7. Proceed the Dean’s Office for your subject and schedule of classes. After filling up completely the Registration Form, go to the Dean or his official or authorized
representative for approval of subject load.
8. Proceed to the SPS – Student Affairs Office and fill up a student form (new and old students)
9. Go back to the Registrar’s Office for encoding of subjects, verification and final approval of load.
10. Proceed to the Account’s Office for assessment of fees.
11. Go to the Cashier’s Office for Payment. Remember pay only to the Cashier/Teller and not to anybody. The cashier/teller is the only authorized person to collect fees.(Note: A fine of 1% daily will be imposed for late registration and late payment.)
12. Proceed to the Registrar’s Office. Present your Student Copy of the Registration Card with your 11/2 ID picture clipped together with your receipt of payment for the issuance of classcards.(Note: School’s ID may be claimed at the Dean’s Office two weeks after classes have started. If ID is not yet available, present your student’s copy of the Registration Form to the security guard when entering the campus. This is also shown to the teachers.)
13. Proceed to the Library for your Library ID. Bring with you one copy of your 1 1/2 x 1 1/2 ID picture and fill up the ID application form.
14. After enrolment, proceed to the Guidance Office for a copy of your Student handbook. (For Freshmen and Transferees only)
Freshmen Students
1. Proceed to the DEAN’S OFFICE of the department/program you want to enroll in for interview. Present the credentials required for admission.
2. Proceed to the ACCOUNT’S OFFICE for the payment of fee for the English Proficiency Test.
3. Present your receipt of payment for the English Proficiency Test to the Guidance Office and get your schedule for the examination.
4. For the students enrolling in programs with qualifying exams, proceed to the Dean’s Office for the entrance examination.
5. Proceed to the SPS office for your Bio Data.
6. Secure a certificate of enrollment from the NSTP office (or get the same from the Military Science Office if the student options to take the Military Science Program.
7. Proceed to the Registrar’s Office and secure Registration Form. Submit your admission credentials and the result of the English Proficiency Test, qualifying exams and present the NSTP certificate of enrollment.
8. Proceed to the Dean’s Office for your subjects and schedule of classes. After filling up completely the Registration Form, go to the Dean or his/her officials or
authorized representatives for initial approval of subject load.
9. Go back to the Registrar’s Office for encoding of subjects, verification and final approval of subject load.
10. Proceed to the Account’s Office for assessment of fees.
11. Go to the Cashier’s Office for payment.
12. Go back to the Registrar’s Office for the issuance of Class Cards and the computerized encoded subjects.
Old Students
1. Students who have not yet finished the required NSTP program must secure a certificate of enrollment form the NSTP office.
2. Proceed to the Registrar’s Office to secure your registration Card upon presenting your School ID, and clearance during the preceding period.
3. (Follow steps 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, and 12 for enrollment of new students.
Transferees
1. Follow steps 1, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11 and 12 for enrolmment of new students (Freshmen)
