METU Northern Cyprus Campus, the first campus established by a Turkish university abroad, started its education life with the triple-protocol signed in 2000 and the establishment law accepted in 2003 upon the invitation of the Republic of Turkey and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus to METU. There are still 15 undergraduate and 5 graduate programs in METU Cyprus, which carries the experience and quality of METU to Northern Cyprus in its campus in the Guzelyurt region of the TRNC.

METU Cyprus, which is affiliated to METU Ankara academically and administratively, operates with the same understanding and standards as Ankara Campus in the fields of education, research and community service; It raises self-confident individuals who think freely and critically, are creative, have advanced communication and leadership skills, can adapt to changing conditions and renew themselves, are entrepreneurial, adopt ethical principles, have a work discipline and motivation. Students who successfully complete their education at METU Cyprus, which offers a new opportunity to receive METU education, receive their diplomas signed by the METU President at the same ceremony with METU Ankara graduates, joining the METU graduates whose number exceeds 120,000.
