Omdurman Islamic University
It is a Islamic Sudanese government university established in 1332 AH corresponding to 1912 AD in the name of the Scientific Institute in Omdurman, and it is one of the universities based on the Islamic endowment system . It was founded by one of the Sudanese judges, Sheikh Abu Al-Qasim Ahmed Hashem. The campus area is 500 acres, or the equivalent of 2 km. All of them are located in the city of Omdurman and consist of two sections: the male section in the Al-Fitihab area and the female section in the Al-Thawra area . The university started with the faculties of Fundamentals of Religion , Sharia and Economics , where it taught the Arabic language , Islamic sciences and Sharia sciences . Later, the university developed and included theoretical faculties ( economics ). – Education – Management – Arts ) , and with the beginning of the nineties the university developed and began to expand, and it became practical colleges such as the College of Medicine , Engineering and Agriculture .
