The Universidad Experimental del Táchira, also known as Universidad del Táchira or UNET, is a public university founded on February 27, 1974 in San Cristóbal, Táchira, Venezuela. Recently, the university has 8,240 students among undergraduate and graduate students and 686 professors.

The UNET is an institution of high academic level for undergraduate and graduate students who seek a Bachelor’s degree, Master’s degree, and PhD. Committed to the positive transformation of the Táchira state and the country, and whose ideal is to increase and develop the social capital area of the university and the state to increase and develop their popularity and credibility among Venezuela and Latin America. Also, to improve the development of the intellectual capital of the university in order to achieve its basic functions: teaching, extension, and research. Undergraduate Careers

The university offers different careers to undergraduate students that have a high school diploma and that are assigned by the OPSU which is a service the Venezuelan government implemented to assigned bachelor’s degree seekers into the public universities around the country] The UNET is known for having a large number of engineering careers that were added in different periods of time according to the number of students started to grow up. Since 1986, the UNET offers several careers to graduate students in the main and headquarters campuses, most of the students who decide to study a master’s degree in the UNET have obtained their bachelor’s degree at the university. Students from other universities are also welcome to apply for an opportunity to study a Masters in the UNET, but the university gives priority to the students who have already studied in the institution. Registration for Bachelors Admitted to 1st. Semester

WITHOUT EXCEPTION: All students admitted to the various specialties must meet the requirements indicated here and follow the following steps for enrollment:

Check the results of the admission process.
Meet the enrollment requirements outlined on this page.
Perform the Data Update via the Internet. It is an essential requirement that you carry out this step, since the day and time of your registration and consignment of documents will be indicated there. You must complete this step before formalizing the registration. The link to update data appears on this page.
Formalize your registration with the Student Control and Evaluation Coordination on the day and time indicated at the time of completing the Data Update.

Biosecurity Protocol
At the time of presenting yourself to formalize your registration, you must take into account the biosecurity measures at a personal level:

Correct and mandatory use of the mask. You must remain at all times with the mask on until you leave the facilities.
Keep a safe distance, avoid crowds or gatherings.
Bring antibacterial gel or alcohol for personal use.

IMPORTANT: The student who does not formalize his registration on the indicated date, will be understood to have waived that right, therefore the University will make use of his quota, respecting the quota established by career and strictly following the selection criteria.

General registration requirements for those admitted.

Birth certificate in good condition.
- For Foreigners, it must be authenticated and legalized by the Venezuelan Consulate in their country of origin.

Identity card.
- For Foreigners: Student transient visa or valid resident card.
- For Naturalized: Photocopy of the gazette corresponding to their naturalization and proof of SAIME.

One (1) 3×3 photo. (Not scanned). You must write on the back the ID, full name and career to study.

Military registration for those over 18 years of age.

If you are under 18 years of age, write an authorization from the representative and attach a photocopy of the representative’s identity card. (This authorization is automatically generated by the system when updating your data on the Study Control page).

High school degree with fiscal stamp (in its absence, original of the Application for Degree or Letter of Academic Completion issued by the institution where you graduated from high school).
- If you studied abroad, Resolution of study equivalencies and high school diploma granted by the Ministry of People’s Power for Education through agreements (original).
- The tax stamp is not essential.
Certification of notes with tax stamp of the 7th. to the last year of high school.
- If you studied abroad, Resolution of study equivalencies granted by the Ministry of Popular Power for Education through agreements (original).
- The tax stamp is not essential.

Proof of Registration in the National Income System (Certificate of Participation).

General Conditions regarding the presentation of the requirements:

Bring a photocopy of all the requirements. The original requirements must be presented to collate the photocopies, after this; the originals are delivered immediately.
Identity Card: 2 enlarged copies (150%) centered on the page.
Submit the photocopies of the requirements in the order indicated in a brown legal-size folder with a hook on the left side.
The photocopies must be in letter size, that is, make a reduction of the Birth Certificate and Certified Notes.
If the document has information on the back, the photocopies must also be the same on both sides as the original.
The photocopies must be of good quality, that is, the photocopies must be perfectly legible. Digitalized copies by multifunctional printers will not be accepted.

Important Recommendations:

If you do not have any requirement, you must also formalize your registration on the day and time indicated at the time of updating your data online. You must notify the lack of the requirement to the official at the time of delivering them.

The day of registration will be indicated according to the schedule assigned by the Study Control Unit at the time of the Data Update.
