Mustaqbal University
Mustaqbal University (MU) a pioneer non profit private university registered with the Ministry of Education of Somalia started in 2012 by dynamic young Somali professionals from various backgrounds to contribute towards socio economic development of the nation through innovation and research. MU was started as a College of Health Sciences offering diploma and certificate courses and later registered in 2013 with the Ministry of Education as Mustaqbal University.
MU is not a traditional university where learners are treated as empty vessels to be filled with knowledge but a modern university that seeks to stimulate the students’ mental faculties to realize their full potential and empower them to assume leadership roles in various sectors of the economy including the health. Teaching and learning methodologies adopted in the university are student centered, an approach that allows students to get exposed to problem based learning that stimulate them to conduct research and sharing of experiences while solving society’s myriad of challenges.
