Mohi-ud-Din Islamic University
The University was established under Mohi-ud-Din Islamic University Nerian Sharif Act, 1999, passed by the Legislative Assembly of Azad Jammu & Kashmir. The main objective underlying the establishment of the University is to produce graduates equipped with modern knowledge in combination with the basic religious education to enable them meet the challenges of the new millennium. The Higher Education Commission (HEC) has affirmed the equivalence of the degrees, diplomas and certificates awarded by the University with the corresponding degrees, diplomas and certificates of other universities in Pakistan. The main campus of the University is located at a beautiful hill station with its majestic multi-storied buildings at Nerian Sharif (Tararkhal), Azad Jammu and Kashmir. The main campus spreads over 10 acres of land and is situated at about 6,000 feet above sea level. It has enchanting surroundings with spell binding and fascinating natural environment. Nerian Sharif is situated to the North East of Islamabad at a distance of 125km. Unlike other universities in public and private sectors, the MIU has adopted a unique system of examination giving due weightage to internal and external evaluation. This has been done after a careful consideration to minimize the drawbacks of both internal and external examination systems

Foreign Students may also seek admission in the University
Admission merit is determined on the basis of 40% weight-age for academic performance and 60% weight-age for Entry Test and Interview.
The copies of documents(two set), duly attested by a Gazetted Officer (BPS-17 or above) must be attached with the application form for admission.Admission form can be downloaded from Admission Form
