Required documents

All documents received by Indian Ocean University become the property of the University. Official documents and/or transcripts will not be returned to the applicant.

Transfer students

Transfer applicants are considered on the basis of both their university and previous studies. If you are transferring from another university, you will be considered for an appropriate level of placement within the undergraduate program at this University.  Credit may be awarded for university- level courses that are equivalent to IOU courses and appropriate to the program to which you are applying. However, the evaluation of transfer credit cannot be made until a formal application and all necessary supporting documents have been received.

There are, however, some special conditions attached to the granting of transfer credits. The number of credits awarded depends on the character, quality and quantity of the work completed. A minimum of 60 credits must be taken at Indian Ocean University.
