Metropolitan University

Unimet has managed to create its own educational model, whose objective is to prepare a graduate with comprehensive training, relevant professional skills, managerial and entrepreneurial capacity, and committed to the local and global environment. The model is under permanent revision and adjustment. Its strength is based on the Institution’s ability to adapt to the challenges posed by the transformation process towards the knowledge society.

Unimet’s educational model is oriented towards fulfilling the Metropolitan University’s Mission, whose fundamental aspects are a solid comprehensive education, the development of entrepreneurial skills, leadership development, command of the English language, connection and commitment to society and relationship with the productive sector.

Based on the aforementioned conceptual bases, those responsible for the academic direction of the University have established, taking into account the particular challenges of the Venezuelan reality, the premises on which their educational model is based, which is implemented through the development of four educational axes (Four pillars of education in the 21st century. Delors Report – UNESCO 1998):

Learning to be : Common axes of general training and basic training.

Learning to live together : Axis of social development (through social practices).

Learning to do : Axis of development of skills and entrepreneurial capacity.

Learn to know : Area of construction of knowledge.
