Majmaah University Admission Requirements

Admission Requirements:

To apply for Postgraduate Studies Programs at the university, the following requirements must be met:

1. The applicant must be Saudi or allocated an official grant for postgraduate studies if s/he is not Saudi.
2. The applicant must be a holder of a university degree from a Saudi university or any other accredited university.
3. S/he must have good conduct and behavior and must be physically fit.
4. S/he must present two recommendation letters written by two of his/her former teachers.
5. Get the employer’s approval if s/he is an employee.
6. S/he must have had at least “Very Good” as observation for his/her university studies.
7. S/he must get a minimum of 70 as result in the General Aptitude Test for university graduates.
8. The applicant’s achievement in basic specialty subjects must be at least “Very Good”. :

Required Documents

1. A copy of the graduation certificate.
2. A copy of the academic file.
3. Two recommendation letters from two university teachers who hold a PhD with the department’s or the college’s official stamp.
4. A copy of the National Identity Card
5. A copy of the General Aptitude Test for university graduates.

Colleges of Medicine and Dentistry:
When applying for admission to the College of Medicine, students have to meet the following requirements:
1. Students must obtain IELTS band 4.5. The deadline for submitting the certificate to the College of Medicine is the last day of final exam for Common First Year.
2. A minimum GPA of 4.5
3. Students should not have failed or banned from any course
4. Students should sign and abide by the Student Charter
5. The College of Dentistry follows the year system, where students register for their courses at the beginning of first semester.
6. In case a student has failed to meet any of the foregoing requirements, the next available choice for him/her will be the College of Applied Science, provided the admission requirements for that college are fulfilled.

College of Applied Medical Science:
When applying for admission to the College of Applied Medical Science, students have to meet the following requirements:
1. A student should get a minimum GPA of (3)
2. Students must obtain IELTS band 4.5 or STEP score 58. The deadline for submitting the certificate to the College of Medicine is the last day of final exam for Common First Year.
3. In case of transferring from another major, the student must have a minimum GPA of (4)
4. Choosing a college major should be made during the beginning of second semester of Common First Year.
5. All Common First Year courses of first semester should be passed successfully. Students who failed to pass all Common First Year required courses, will be granted one additional semester. Admission will be determined based on the highest GPA and the availability of seats.
6. Students who fail a course and had to wait one more semester to retake the course, may not have a chance to choose their preferred major.
7. Student major preference is determined by the availability of seats and the highest GPA.

College of Engineering :
When applying for admission to the College of Engineering, students have to meet the following requirements:
1. A minimum GPA of 3.75
2. Students must obtain IELTS band (4) or STEP score 67. The deadline for submitting the certificate to the College is the last day of final exam for Common First Year.
3. All Common First Year courses must be passed successfully
4. In case a student has failed to meet any of the foregoing requirements, the next available choice for him/her will be the College of Computer Science, provided the admission requirements for that college are fulfilled.

College of Computer Science:
When applying for admission to the College of Computer Science, students have to meet the following requirements:
1. A minimum GPA of (3)
2. Students must obtain IELTS band (3.5) or STEP score 52. The deadline for submitting the certificate to the College is the last day of final exam for Common First Year.
3. In case a student has failed to meet any of the foregoing requirements, the next available choice for him/her will be the College of Science, provided the admission requirements for that college are fulfilled.

Majmaah University Scholarship Requirements

Having proposed to establish Non-Saudi Students Scholarship Unit,the Scholarship Affairs  Committee attempted to fulfill the policies of the Saudi government in such a field, based  on the by-laws  issued by the council of  ministries decree No. ( 94)dated on 29/3/1434h and  the telegraph dispatched by the ministry of higher education No. 31918 dated on 21/3/1434 h , attempting to introduce highly effective performance in laying care for such  a group of University students.

Objectives: The  administration  endeavors hard to make sure that scholarship programs can achieve  the following objectives:

1-Teaching Arabic language and spreading the culture of  moderation. 
2-Partipating in preparing specialist scholars in all majors who are capable of  acting positive roles in their societies.
