Undergraduate Admissions Requirements

Admission Procedures:

  1. Complete the online application on the college website.
  2. Visiting the Admission and Registration Department at the JIC campus to submit the other admission application requirements.
  3. Paying a non-refundable admission application fee 1200 SAR along with the English Placement Tests fee 100 SAR (if applicable)
  4. Conducting the personal interview.
  5. Taking the required placement tests (if applicable) / Receiving the admission result.
  6. Completing the course registration process.

Undergraduate Admission Criterias:

  • The student must have obtained at least 65% in the high school certificate or its equivalent (for the majors of Business, Design, and Law), and 80% in the high school certificate (science track) or its equivalent (for the majors of Engineering, Information Technology, and Computer Science).
  • The Certificate Equivalency Letter from the Ministry of Education must be provided in case the student obtained a high school certificate from outside the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
  • The student must not be registered in another university or college.
  • The student must pass the English placement test and any other tests determined by the college as one of the admission requirements.
  • The student must be medically fit.

Required Documents for Undergraduate Admission:

  1. The original high school certificate or its equivalent
  2. Two recent personal photos (4×6 size)
  3. A valid national ID card for Saudis, or a valid Iqama for non-Saudis, for validation

Re-Admission Requirements for Undergraduate:

  • The student must apply for readmission after four semesters past the deactivation semester without referring to the previous academic record.
  • The student must meet all the admission requirements announced at the requested semester, and the College Council has the right to make an exception.
  • Students who have received a disciplinary dismissal do not have the right to apply for readmission.

Transfer Students Requirements for Undergraduate Programs:

  • The student must have studied at a college or university recognised by the Ministry of Education.
  • The student must not have been dismissed from the previous college or university for disciplinary reasons.
  • The courses in which the student obtained a grade equivalent to 70% or above will be equalised to the equivalent courses offered at Jeddah International Private College.

Graduate (Master’s) Students Admission Requirements:

Admission and Registration Procedures:

  1. Complete the online application on the college website.
  2. Submit the required documents at the Postgraduate Studies Department.
  3. Pay a nonrefundable application fee of SR 1000.
  4. Pass the Postgraduate Studies Department interview.
  5. Receive the admission results.
  6. Pay the tuition fees.
  7. Receive the username and password for the portal and the college email.
  8. Register for courses through the portal.
  9. Start attending classes.

Admission Criteria:

  1. The applicant must have a university degree from a Saudi university or another recognized university.
  2. For applicants with qualifications from outside Saudi Arabia:
    • The university granting the qualification must be accredited by the Ministry of Education.
    • The qualification must be equivalent, as determined by the Ministry of Education for Saudis.
    • For non-Saudis, documents must be certified by the Saudi Embassy in the country granting the qualification.
  3. The student must have obtained a grade of “Good” at least at the undergraduate level.
  4. The Postgraduate Studies department may require the student to pass supplementary courses if necessary.
  5. A score of 500 in the English language test (TOEFL), an average of 5 in IELTS, 83 in STEP, or passing the JIC English Placement test is required for admission. The validity of the test is two years.
  6. Passing the Postgraduate Studies Department interview.

Transfer Students:

  1. Availability of admission requirements for the transferred student and any other conditions deemed necessary by the department.
  2. The student must have studied at a college or university recognized by the Ministry of Education.
  3. The student should not have been dismissed from the university from which he is transferring.
  4. It is not permissible to equalize more than 25% of the total hours of the study plan at Jeddah International College.
  5. The entire master’s thesis or graduation research must be prepared at the college and under its direct supervision.
  6. Courses that have been equalized are not included in the calculation of the cumulative average.

Course Equivalency:

  1. Equivalence of more than 25% of the total credit hours of Jeddah International College’s study plan is not permitted.
  2. The content of the course to be considered for equivalence must align by 70%, and the grade should not be less than “Very Good.”
  3. The student must provide the original academic transcript along with course descriptions.
  4. The number of credit hours in the course to be considered for equivalence must match or exceed the number of hours in the program’s courses at the college.
  5. The student should not have studied the courses eligible for equivalence for more than six academic semesters, exceptions may be made at the discretion of the Graduate Studies Department.
  6. Courses considered for equivalence will not be included in the calculation of the cumulative GPA for the graduate studies program.
