Admission Circular 2024 / Admission Requirements
Admission Requirements for Undergraduate Programs:
- General Requirements:
- Total GPA of 5 with minimum 2.5 either in SSC or HSC/equivalent for admission in Honors Programs.
- Alternatively, a minimum GPA of 2.00 in SSC/HSC/equivalent with a total GPA of 6.00 or above may apply (except for the B.Pharm program).
- Minimum five subjects from O-Level and two subjects from A-Level are required, with grades of B- (GPA 4.00) in four subjects and C (GPA 3.50) in the other three subjects.
- Total GPA of 5.00 in both SSC and HSC Examinations for the children of Freedom Fighters.
- Candidates intending to join programs under the School of Science and Technology and the School of Engineering must pass HSC/Diploma/equivalent examination from the science group.
- Diploma holders from Govt. and UGC-approved institutions will be considered as HSC/Equivalent.
- Computer Science & Engineering and Electrical & Electronic Engineering Department:
- Candidates must pass HSC/Diploma/equivalent examination from the science group.
- Minimum GPA of 2.00 in Mathematics (in a scale of 5.00) in HSC/Diploma/equivalent examination.
- Pharmacy Department:
- Total GPA of 8.00 (in a scale of 10.00) in both SSC/equivalent and HSC/equivalent examinations from the science group, with a minimum GPA not less than 3.50 (in a scale of 5.00) in any examination.
- Minimum GPA of 4.00 (in a scale of 5.00) in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology separately in both examinations.
- Minimum GPA of 3.50 (in a scale of 5.00) in Mathematics in HSC/equivalent examination.
- Candidates with a diploma in pharmacy degree from an institution affiliated to the Pharmacy Council of Bangladesh (PCB) need approval from the department to apply for admission.
- For A-Level Candidates:
- Minimum B Grade in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.
- Minimum C Grade in Mathematics.
- Other Requirements:
- Candidates must pass HSC/equivalent examinations in the current or previous year.
- Candidates must have a diploma in pharmacy degree from an institution affiliated with the Pharmacy Council of Bangladesh (PCB) and obtain approval from the department to apply for admission.
Admission Requirements for Graduate Programs:
- General Requirements:
- Students applying for Master’s Programs should have at least 5.00 points without any 3rd division/class or 6.00 points with a 3rd division/class.
- Minimum CGPA of 2.00 is required at each level of examination.
- Points are computed based on the following criteria:
- 1st Division/Class/Equivalent (3.5 and above): 3 points, 2nd Division/Class/Equivalent (2.50 to 3.49): 2 points, 3rd Division/Class/Equivalent (2.00 to 2.49): 1 point
MBA Admission Requirements:
Admission requirements for MBA programs at regular universities in Bangladesh typically include holding a Bachelor’s degree with a minimum GPA requirement, preferably with some work experience. Admit Card 2024 / Download Admit Card 2024
The university has issued the Admit Card for the year 2024. To obtain your admit card, payment for the applied unit is required, following which you can instantly download it. Admit Cards are available for download from February 17, 2024, until the Admission Test Date of each unit. Prior to downloading, it is necessary to upload your photo. Admit cards can be accessed on the admissions website. It’s important to note that downloading the admit card is only possible after uploading your photo. If your photo has already been uploaded, you can proceed to download the admit card directly.
