Dar al-Kalima University College of Arts and Culture

The Dar al-Kalima University College of Arts and Culture was established in 2006

With the Documentary Film Program and the Ceramic and Glass Art Program. At that point, the college had just 22 students. Originally, Dar al-Kalima was located in the Dar Annadwa building in Bethlehem. Today, the University College has nine accredited majors. Several more majors are currently in the process of being accredited by the Palestinian Ministry of Education and Higher Education.

The Dar al-Kalima University College of Arts and Culture is the first institution of higher education in Palestine to focus its educational objectives on the performing arts, visual arts, and cultural heritage. The University’s founders believe in the importance of the arts in raising the level of cultural and societal awareness and in the development of a vibrant and active civil society.
