The College of Engineering Technology – Janzour is considered one of the most important engineering technical colleges in Libya. It was adopted in 2010 to grant a technical bachelor’s degree. At the beginning, the Nasr El-Din Al-Qummi Institute was founded in 1957 as an intermediate institute authorized to grant an intermediate diploma, and in 1989 the institute was accredited to grant a higher diploma. This was an important step in the history of the Institute, as it was distinguished by its technical and scientific capabilities, in addition to the financial capabilities of workshops and laboratories covering all specializations of the Institute. The training and educational programs at the institute varied, including, in addition to the basic school system, specialized training courses and professional short courses.
