Carnegie School of Home Economics

The Carnegie School of Home Economics (CSHE) is at an important juncture in the history of the school. It is with great anticipation that we embrace major upgrade of the programmes offered and future development of the institution.

Formerly known as the Carnegie Trade School, the CSHE was founded on a grant by the Carnegie Trustee in 1933. The First Principal, Ms. Briant was entrusted with the task of establishing the school, with the understanding that the government would assume full responsibility if the venture succeeded. Thanks to her careful management and zeal, the government did assume full responsibility for the school in1937.
