Brest State University Named After A.S. Pushkin
For 75 years, the university has passed a glorious path from a teacher’s institute to a classical university, the leading center of cultural, educational, scientific and innovative development of the Brest region.
For the achievement of significant results in the field of quality and competitiveness of educational services, scientific products, the introduction of innovative technologies and management methods by the Decree of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus dated March 01, 2017 No. 171 to the educational institution “Brest State University named after A.S. Pushkin” was awarded the Prize of the Government of the Republic of Belarus for achievements in the field of quality. In 2020, in accordance with the Decree of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of 03.04.2020 No. 203, the educational institution “Brest State University named after A.S. Pushkin” Prize of the Government of the Republic of Belarus in the field of quality was awarded again.
In 2020, the university successfully passed the recertification audit and received the STB ISO 9001-2015 Certificate of Conformity (until 2023).

Admission and Requirements.
List of required documents, which applicants submit to the admission committee of the university:
- originals and copies of the document on education and its annexes; Applicants who submit a diploma of secondary specialized education to the admission committee must also provide a certificate of general secondary education;
- originals of certificates of centralized testing conducted in the Republic of Belarus in the year of admission or the year preceding the year of admission;
- medical certificate on the state of health in the form established by the Ministry of Health (form 1 zdr / y-10);
- 6 photographs 3 x 4 cm; (document photos can be taken in room 113 of building No. 1 of the university);
- 2 envelopes (one of them with stamps for the Republic of Belarus);
- a photocopy of the passport (pp. 30-33). A passport or a document replacing it is presented by the applicant personally;
- documents confirming the applicant’s right to benefits upon admission to study (see the list of additional documents).
The list of additional documents that applicants submit to the university admissions office:
- Documents confirming the change of surname (certificate of conclusion (dissolution) of marriage, certificate from the registry office, court decision on divorce) and their copies
- In case of discrepancy between the surname in the education documents and in the identity document
- An extract from the work book or a copy of the work book, each sheet of which is certified by the seal of the personnel department, dated, signed by the head of the personnel department, on the last page – the entry “Works to the present”, secured by the date, seal and signature of the head of the personnel department;
- a copy of the civil law contract;
- a copy of the certificate of state registration of individual entrepreneurship;
- a certificate confirming that on the date of submission of documents to the selection committee in the list of the national or national team of the Republic of Belarus in sports, issued by the Ministry of Sports and Tourism.
For persons entering the correspondence form of education at the expense of the budget
- Recommendation (see form) of the pedagogical council of the educational institution that the applicant graduated from for admission to pedagogical specialties
- For winners of the third stage of the Republican Olympiad, persons awarded with a gold, silver medal, as well as those who graduated from institutions of secondary specialized education with a diploma with honors
- Disability certificate
- The conclusion of the medical advisory or medical rehabilitation expert commission on the absence of contraindications for training in the chosen specialty
- The conclusion of the state center for correctional and developmental education and rehabilitation or a certificate of mastering the educational program of special education at the level of general secondary education (for persons with visual, hearing, musculoskeletal disorders).
- For disabled children under the age of 18, disabled people of groups I, II
Invitation for Studies:
Preparation of the documents for the invitation for education
Foreign citizens who wish to study at Brest State A.S. Pushkin University need to obtain an invitation for education which will help to get a visa in a consular office of Belarus.
To obtain the Invitation for Education foreign citizens are to apply the following documents to international relations office:
- Filled in application form
- Notarized copy of the document on education where studied subjects and received marks (points) are indicated;
- Notarized (if necessary) translation into the Russian or Belarusian languages of the documents on education where studied subjects and received marks (points) are indicated;
- A copy of passport or another identifying document;
- A notarized (if necessary) translation into the Russian or Belarusian languages of passport or another identifying document.
- The copies of the documents are to be authenticated with a notarial seal.
Language of the documents
All documents made in foreign languages are to be supplied with a notarized translation into the Russian language.
Documents should be sent to the university via e-mail (int@brsu.by, oms@brsu.brest.by) or ordinary post with the mark: “Admission documents”.
There is no deadline for application of the documents to Master’s or Postgraduate studies departments and to the Preparatory course for foreign students.
Arrival
Address the Belarusian Consulate in your home country for a student visa. Visa requirements vary for different countries. Detailed information for your region is available from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus.
The most convenient way to come to Belarus is by plane (recommended companies: BelAvia, Aeroflot, Lufthansa) or by train. Train timetables are available on the website of the Belarusian Railroads.
Please mind that the National Airport Minsk-2 is located 50 kilometers away from city Minsk. You can get to the center of the city by a taxi (30 US Dollars) or by a bus (3 US Dollars)
From the National Airport Minsk- 2 you need to get to Brest. The most convenient way to do it is by train but also you can take coach.

Brest State University Named After A.S. Pushkin Admission
Congratulations, you have received a Student Visa and arrived in Belarus. Now you are to pass the enrollment procedure which consist of admission itself, accommodation at the one of the university dormitories, taking medical examination and receiving a temporary registration in Belarus for the period of study.
STEP 1 To submit the following documents to the Admission Board:
Application for admission with specialty specified (to be filled on submission of the documents to the admission board);
Documents on education where done subjects and received marks (points) are specified;
Health certificate confirming the applicant is medically fit to study in the climatic conditions of Belarus, authenticated by the official medical organization of the candidate’s homeland country.
Medical certificate on absence of AIDS issued by the official medical organization of the candidate’s country of arrival;
Authenticated copy of the birth certificate;
6 photos sized 3×4 cm;
Certificate on finishing a preparatory department or courses (if any);
Document establishing your identity (national passport).
The above mentioned documents are to be supplied with the notarized translation into the Belarusian or Russian language.
STEP 2 To pass an interview in the profile subjects and the Russian language.
STEP 3 Sign the Education Contract and make payment for education. Payment can be made in the branch office of “Belarus bank” which is located on the first floor of the University’s main building.
On the basis of the signed Contract and the bank receipt confirming that the payment for education has been made the University’s authorities make a Warrant of Admission and you are a student of Brest State A.S. Pushkin University, so you can begin your study and get the student ticket.

REMEMBER! Within 5 days after your arrival in Belarus you are to apply for registration. To do that, please contact Department of International Affairs: 21, boulevard of Cosmonauts, Room 117 (the main building of the University).
